WHAT ARE COMMUNITY GROUPS?

As followers of Christ, we earnestly desire to fulfill the Great Commission by preaching the gospel and making disciples. One of the ways we pursue this at Cross is through Community Groups. These weekly gatherings of 3-20 people meet in homes across Beaufort, committing to the study of God’s word, prayer, fellowship, and caring for one another. Many of our Community Groups share a meal together each week, and several offer childcare from screened and background-checked workers.

COMMUNITY GROUP FAQs

What does a Community Group study?

Each week, a Community Group discussion guide is provided based on that week’s sermon. The guides are full of cross-references, exegetical questions, application, and theological reflections centered on Christ.

How do I join a group?

Click on “Find a Group”
Navigate to the group you are interested and click “Request to Join.” If you have a church center account, log in to request to join. If you do not have a church center account, you will be prompted to enter your cell number to create an account. Once your account is created, you will be able to request to join the community group that fits your needs best! If you need further assistance, please email [email protected].

What Community Group is best for my family and me?

Our Community Groups meet in homes in different areas of town Sunday through Thursday. Additionally, some of our Community Groups provide childcare. As such, most of our community group members choose which group to participate in based on their preference on day of the week, location, or childcare. All of our community groups are purposefully multi-generational and co-ed since Christ is our greatest unifier; therefore, we do not have any “age and stage of life”/affinity (60’s+, military, singles, homeschoolers, women’s, etc.) groups. If you would like help getting plugged into a group that fits all of your needs, please email our GROW Admin Assistant Canicia Lunger at [email protected].
